fight like a girl!
Thank you to all!!!! We were able to raise over $20,000 for this family!!! We cannot express how incredibly thankful we are for all of you!!
Here is a letter from the family:
Leah had such an amazing benefit on Saturday! The day started at noon and was over by midnight. There was a bean bag tournament, live DJ/karaoke, kids games and face painting, silent auction, amazing food, and a great band to close the night. We hopefully were able to visit with each and every one of you that came that day. If we did not get a chance to, we are so sorry. We hope you had a great time that day! I unfortunately did not have time or remember to take any pictures that day of the benefit. Go me! If anyone that went took pictures, could you please send them to me!?!?!?!?!? You can email them to firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you in advance! It don't know how I can even thank everyone enough for everything everyone did to make Leah's day such a HUGE success!
To my sister-in-law Dawn and brother-in-law Tim, thank you so much for having the benefit at your amazing bar/restaurant, letting us as well as my parents stay at your homes, and for all of your hard work planning this benefit. You donated so much, put so much time and effort in to make sure Leah's day was such a success! We are so grateful and love you so much!
To each and every one of our family members that planned, donated and volunteered all day, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for doing such an amazing job and for all of your prayers, kindness and generosity! Without all of you Leah's benefit would not have been the amazing success it was!
To all of our friends that donated, volunteered and worked so hard all day, for all of your prayers, hours and hours of hard work, we thank you! We are just so grateful to be able to call you a part of our family.
To all of the amazing bartenders who volunteered all day behind the bar to make sure everyone's thirst was quenched, you all are rock stars! Thank you!
To Lisa, Richie & Daryll for smoking some amazing chicken, it was the bomb!
To all of the cooking staff, thank you for all of the amazing food and how hard you worked to make sure everyone was fed, thank you!
To the DJ/karaoke people who blessed us with some fun music all day to listen to, thank you!
To Outland, thank you guys for singing and playing your hearts out that night, thank you! It was so much fun dancing with everyone! Such a great time and a great show!
To each and every surrounding area bar that closed that day so that their patrons came to support our cause, wow! That was so awesome!
To everyone that spent the day with us both in prayer and in person, who donated money, time, amazing silent auction items, as well as their talents to make sure Leah had such a great turnout, you all have truly blessed us. We are eternally grateful to all of you for caring about our little girl Leah, her brother Ian, her big sissy Kaylee and both Eric and I. God bless you all!
On Saturday, April 29, Leah Marie Mueller went to the Mankato Emergency Room after complaining about side pain. She was immediately rushed to the Rochester Mayo Hospital. After a series of painful tests and needle pokes, she has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). She received her first chemotherapy session on Monday, May 1. She was in Rochester the entire month of May and thankfully was able to go home on 1 June. Due to being immobilized for so long, she continues to struggle with walking. Leah has an extremely long battle ahead of her, including receiving cancer treatment and chemotherapy for the next two years. Leah is a gentle, fun-loving, sweetie pie who rocks the most stylish pink glasses around town. Her parents are Eric and Anne Mueller. Eric is the brother of the Cove owner Dawn. We hope you will take the time to join this young family in their fight. We are so thankful for all the love, support and prayers!
